Curriculum

King Academy Child Care Centre is a Ministry approved child care centre offering curriculum centered programs based on academic and holistic elements. All our activities are designed to support the developmental needs of each child as a whole person. The programming helps children develop a love for learning, a sense of independence and the ability to respect others and themselves.

In each classroom we offer a variety of age appropriate activities such as: circle time, creative art, as well as science and sensory tables to meet different physical, emotional, social, and cognitive needs.  We also offer the Nipissing development screening in all classrooms to help you and the staff assess your child's developmental growth.

Staff

Your child is in good hands at King Academy Child Care Centre. Each teacher is carefully chosen by our management team not only for their experience but also for their warmth and enthusiasm. Our teachers are all qualified in the field of Early Childhood Education.

We ensure that every staff member has the following on file at our Brampton daycare: updated health forms, a criminal reference check, child infant CPR and first aid certificates as well as signed copies of the behaviour management policy.

Our staff recognize every child's individuality and will support and encourage each child's specific interests and multiple approaches to learning.

Nutrition

As our approach to daycare is holistic, we believe that nutrition is an important part of your child's development. In order to encourage healthy bodies as well as engaged minds we offer a wide variety of organic meals and snacks.

Our menu is varied and includes ingredients and portion sizes to meet the nutritional needs of your growing child. From the infant food options to the children in the Before and After School menu, we ensure that fruits, vegetables, whole grains and protein are some of the delicious choices available every day.

Our facility is nut free and we offer specialized menus for children with allergies, dietary and religious restrictions.

Canada-Wide early learning and Child Care Program: The CWELCC program supports quality, accessibility, affordability, and inclusivity in the early learning licensed Child Care serving eligible children, King Academy has initiated this program to our Centre.
